The COVID-19 pandemic has caused extreme market volatility that is likely to continue for the foreseeable future. There are numerous ways in which high volatility and depressed stock prices can affect equity compensation. For outstanding awards, it’s simply too soon for companies to know what, if any, action will be necessary.
