Welcome to the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (“NASPP”). NASPP is the leading membership association for equity compensation professionals.   

 

NASPP (“NASPP”, “we” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information you provided in connection with your use of this website or any affiliated website (all pages owned or hosted by NASPP and any affiliates websites are collectively referred to herein as the “Website”) to maximize the services that we provide to you.  

This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you visit the Website, how we collect it, how we use it and the steps we take to protect it. Technologies are rapidly changing as are the services that we provide to you, therefore, we may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and when we do, we will post the modified policy. Information We Collect About You  

We collect several different types of data: personal information, non-identifiable basic information and non-identifiable cookies. Personal information may include your name, company name, business and residential street address, business and home phone number, facsimile number, and e-mail address. Non-identifiable basic information may include your device type, browser type, approximate location, time zone, and search terms. We use this data to improve the usability of our Website, such as research and development, system tracking, helping visitors reach the right page, and to inform users about current and future content. This data is non-identifiable. This means we can’t (and have no interest in trying to) use it to identify you or any individual person. We also collect access logs and search strings to improve the Website. We may use accumulated aggregate non-personal data for several purposes including, but not limited to, Website traffic analysis, evaluation of our services, and program planning. We may also market to third parties anonymous, non-identifiable user data that has been collected and processed into aggregate and anonymous statistical profiles.  

We may use third-party website analytics providers to track and record non-personal information of Website users and provide reports based on such information to us. Such providers may use that non-personal information for their internal purposes. 

 

We use a third party payment processor. You will need to provide your financial information, including but not limited to your name, credit card number, phone number, and billing address, to complete the payment transactions. All payment transactions compliant with PCI Security Council standards. We collect this data for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to membership applications, registrations for events, webcasts, and podcasts, job postings, interactions with other members on our Q&A Discussion Forum, conducting surveys, providing you with information, products, or services that you request from us, notifying you about your membership expiration and renewal, contacting you about billing and collection, notifying you about changes to our Website, and any other purpose with your consent.

We may share your personal information and non-identifiable information  to fulfill service requests and to perform business functions, such as event registration services, data hosting services, and customer support. We may share data we collect from you to offer you products and services that may be of interest to you professionally or personally, or to send you membership renewal notices or member product discounts. We may use your email address to directly send you information and may provide you with online informational or marketing messages that have been approved by NASPP together with other communications to which you have subscribed. 

 

In addition, we may share data with third parties as required by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process served on the Website, protect and defend our rights or property, or safety of the NASPP, our users, members or others. We may also share data with third parties if the NASPP and/or its assets (or a portion of its assets) are sold, assigned, transferred, or merged, or if the NASPP undergoes some other change including a change to its corporate form as part of a bankruptcy proceeding or otherwise; information may be transferred as part of that transaction or change. We may share data with social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and others who may contact you with “targeted ads” relating to legal and other services. Managing Your Account and Personal Data 

You can edit your account information and preferences at any time, including but not limited to information in your profile, your password, your email address and whether you want NASPP to send you notifications or contact you about promotions. You may need to provide or verify certain information so that we can be confident of your identity before we can satisfy certain requests. To do that, you’ll need to provide us with information we request about you and/or your use of the Website. You can also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. To do so, you have to give us prior written authorization for the agent to act on your behalf. If we need to verify your identity, you’ll need to do that directly with us. 

If you request that we delete your personal data by contacting us at naspp@naspp.com, we will respond to you in a timely manner as provided in applicable laws. We may reject your request pursuant to certain exceptions in applicable laws. We can decide to delete your personal information if we believe that your personal data is incomplete or inaccurate, or that our continued use and storage of such information are contrary to our Terms of Use or our obligations to other members, individuals, or third parties.  When we delete your personal data, it will be removed from our active databases or anonymized so that the data is no longer identified with you, but the data may remain in our archives if we determine that it is not practical or possible to delete it.
