Private vs. Public Equity Administration - Managing to Different Expectations

Event Details

Let's get ready to rumble - bring out the boxing gloves!
We will compare public versus private stock plan administration from the seat of the equity professional, sharing notable differences in the roles. The skill sets required for each particular type of environment also vary greatly. We will discuss the expectations each type of company may have to help you determine which arena may suit you best.
Whether you are contemplating a change or one is being forced upon you, this presentation is designed to help you go the distance and come out a winner!

Laura Reis, CEP, Cylance, Inc.

Laura joined Cylance Inc., in January 2017 as the Director of Equity Administration.  Previously she spent 3 years at Square where she helped the company prepare for its IPO and build out the company's equity administration team and programs. Laura served in similar positions with Zynga, BEA, 3Com and Sybase. In her career, she has managed large-scale equity administration projects and teams for companies with as many as 13,000 employees in 43 countries. In addition to managing administration in-house, Laura was employed by Stock & Option Solutions, Inc. She began her career as a stock plan administrator managing global stock plans for 3Com Corporation, which grew from 4000 to over 13000 employees during her tenure. She specialized in projects such as acquisitions, database conversions, data mining and integration, custom reporting and system implementations. Since beginning with SOAProjects over a year ago, Catherine has been working with both private and public companies, assisting with day to day processing as well as providing guidance towards process improvement and scalability.
