John Hammond is an Associate Partner with Aon’s Global Equity Services leading the Communications Practice which focuses primarily on employee education in the equity compensation space. John was the founder and CEO of bendystraw llc which Aon acquired in 2017. John has been in equity compensation since 1999, originally beginning with Great Lakes Strategies in 1999, and then with several other providers until forming bendystraw in 2014. Prior to joining the industry, John was a financial planner and advisor for 10 years.
John has been a speaker at a variety of stock plan meetings and conferences on a wide range of issues surrounding equity compensation, communication, administration, and reporting requirements. John has been an active member of NASPP since 1999, having attended every conference since that year. John has served in a variety of industry leadership roles including NASPP officer roles and president of both the Philadelphia and Carolina chapters. Additionally, John earned his Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation in 2000 and served on the CEP Advisory Board from 2010 – 2017 and chaired the board from 2013 – 2014.
John is well known for being a creative leader in a non-creative universe, being a published stock-plan poet and host of the #1 animated talk show in equity compensation, “Amongst the Shrubbery.”
Eden Kidron is an Associate with Aon’s Communications Practice which focuses primarily on employee education in the equity compensation space.
Eden collaborates directly with equity professionals to design communication strategies that maximize value to participants and return on investment to the company through interactive educational videos and data analytics.
She earned a bachelor of science in statistics and masters of public administration from Cornell University. Eden is studying for her Certified Equity Professional and Actuarial certifications. Eden is based in San Francisco.
Carly Sanfilipo is an Associate Director with Aon’s employee equity valuation group. She has more than thirteen years of benefits and compensation consulting experience.
Carly consults on a variety of employee benefits and compensation issues, including Employee Stock Option and Performance-Based RSUs valuations and accounting under Topic 718 and valuations and consulting for potential Underwater Stock Option exchanges under Topic 718.
In her current role, Carly manages client relationships and projects that involve analyzing equity compensation data, performing statistical analysis, developing assumptions, and producing financial reporting information for valuations and accounting under Topic 718. She also served as the Treasurer of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the NASPP.
Carly graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in actuarial science. She is a Certified Equity Professional and is currently pursuing her actuarial designation. Carly is based in Denver.
Harrison Celone is a Consultant with Aon’s Equity Services Team, the equity valuation group of Aon. He has consulted on a variety of equity compensation issues under ASC Topic 718 covering the design, valuation and accounting of employee stock options, employee stock purchase plans, and performance-based equity awards.
In his current role, Harrison works directly with clients to analyze data, perform statistical analysis, develop economic assumptions, and produce financial reporting information for a broad range of equity-based derivative instruments. He has consulted on valuation and accounting for equity programs within mergers, acquisitions and divestitures under Topic 805, as well as change-in-control implications under IRC 280G.
Harrison graduated from The University of Delaware’s Lerner College of Business and Economics where he earned a Master of Arts in Applied Economics. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and holds the Certified Equity Professional (CEP) and Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP) designations. Additionally, Harrison has authored several articles and created educational videos focusing on key issues in equity compensation. Harrison is based in Chicago, IL.
