Financial Wellness: Understanding Today's Hottest Corporate Trend

This session will dive into the current trend of Financial Wellness program implementation at companies across the country.  We will look at industry trends and insights as we seek to understand what Financial Wellness is and how to promote it across employee populations.  Specifically, this session will seek to adress the following objectives:

  • What exactly is Financial Wellness and how do you define it?
  • The connection between financial stress, physical wellness and the drag on the bottom line
  • Key components of Financial Wellness programs
  • Equity Compensation's role in Financial Wellness

Speakers:  Nathan Bidner, Managing Director, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.
                  Jodie Less, CEP, Senior Client Service Manager, Stock Plan Services, Charles Schwab & Co.

Nathan Bidner is the Managing Director of Schwab's Workplace Financial Solutions team which promotes financial wellness for participants of Schwab's Stock Plan unit.  Nathan has been a leader in Schwab Private Client, Schwab Branch Network and Training Groups.  Most recently, he led Schwab Employee Branch & Advice Services, Schwab's internal department dedicated to the financial wellness of its employees.

Jodie Less, CEP joined Charles Schwab in 2006 and currently manages corporate relationships for the Stock Plan Services organization.  Jodie partners with clients to identify and implement solutions best suited to meet corporate objectives.  Her clients benefit from her ability to coordinate cross-functional teams including Human Resources, Legal, Accounting/Finance, Payroll and third-party vendors.  Her skills include building administration efficiencies, increasing automation to mitigate risk and scaling plan administration for future growth.  Jodie brings with her experience in ESPPs, Performance Awards, Global Tax, International Equity Compensation & ASC 718 reporting.  In her prior role at Schwab, Jodie was a Schwab Stock Plan Conversion Manager.
