Speaker Information

Karen Slotsky, Director at PwC 

Karen Slotsky is a Director in PwC’s P&O Tax group where she specializes in compensation and employee benefits.  Before joining PwC, she was a Managing Associate in the New York office of Linklaters LLP. For more than 15 years Karen has advised clients on the securities, tax, and labor laws impacting compensation and employee benefits. She has extensive experience in global equity compensation planning, design, and implementation including assisting companies with respect to the tax rules, regulatory issues, and administrative issues in setting up and operating global equity programs and designing and executing global communication strategies. Karen regularly advises clients in relation to U.S. tax planning and plan design, including with respect to compliance with Internal Revenue Code Section 409A and the tax rules relating to deferred compensation, and the application of Sections 280G and 162(m). She also assists companies with overall compensation and reward package design and benchmarking. Karen often works with public, multinational companies, but her experience ranges from assisting small, private companies to Fortune 500 companies. She regularly advises clients on both an on-going, advisory basis and in the context of corporate transactions.
