Unfortunately, mistakes happen. Thankfully, there are ways to minimize the occurrence and seriousness of lawyer error. Ken Landis, from Attorneys’ Liability Assurance Society, Inc., will discuss factors that increase the likelihood of mistakes and ways to work and supervise in a manner that reduces the occurrence of mistakes. Ken will use examples from naval history, as well as industry responses to airline and medical mistakes, to illustrate approaches that we can use to minimize mistakes.
