Bio: Dan is a Partner in the Chicago office of Infinite Equity.  With over 20 years of executive compensation experience Dan applies an extensive valuation, financial accounting, and tax skillset to assist Management and Compensation Committees design, evaluate, and implement sound programs and practices.  He regularly assists clients with the valuation of equity-based compensation for purposes of ASC Topic 718 using Black-Scholes, lattice-based option pricing models, and Monte Carlo simulations; the valuation of contingent consideration, common and preferred stock, stock warrants, and derivative embedded in convertible debt and convertible preferred stock for financial reporting purposes; and tax and financial accounting issues related to equity-based compensation. Dan graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in economics.  He is a certified public accountant and a certified equity professional.
 
Bio: Aaron Shapiro founded Carver Edison in 2016 when he realized that Employee Stock Purchase Plans, despite being a highly lucrative investment opportunity for employees, are grossly underutilized across the United States. Prior to founding Carver Edison, Aaron was hired as the first investment professional at Edgehill Endowment Partners, a Connecticut based institutional investment firm founded by Ellen Shuman (Institutional Investor’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient) and Nina Scherago. Edgehill focuses exclusively on investing the endowments of non-profit organizations. During Aaron’s tenure, Edgehill’s assets grew from $150 Million to over $4 Billion. His investment expertise developed through underwriting complex hedge fund and private equity investment opportunities. Aaron is a self-taught full stack fintech programmer. He is a graduate of Babson College with a concentration in finance and holds the FINRA Series 7 license.
 

Event Details

The panel will discuss maximizing participation in ESPPs including an interesting recent Private Letter Ruling which may provide a way to make it easier than ever for employees to maximize the benefits under their companies’ ESPPs.  Learn how you can deliver increased value to your employees and shareholders by increasing ESPP participation.

This initial process of subscribing has the non-member set up a limited use account and gives them a limited dashboard to manage their email preferences.  After the initial setup, they’d manage their email subscriptions similar to how members manage their subscriptions, via the dashboard.
