As head of Fidelity Stock Plan Services' Industry Relationships and Thought Leadership, Emily drives connections with the stock plan industry and focuses on developing data-driven insights on equity compensation plan design, usage, and effectiveness based on quantitative and qualitative research to help plan sponsors make more informed decisions about their equity plans and processes.
With over 20 years in the industry, Emily is recognized for deep knowledge of and enthusiasm for equity compensation. She is a frequent speaker and author on topics to help educate employers, advisors, and the media. Emily is a board member for the Certified Equity Professional Institute, member of the NASPP Executive Advisory Committee, recipient of the NASPP Individual Achievement Award, a Fellow of Global Equity, and a representative on GEO’s Partner Alliance Council. She is a Certified Equity Professional and holds Series 7 and 63 securities registrations.

Ryan Boland is vice president of national corporate and executive giving at Fidelity Charitable®, an independent public charity that has helped donors support more than 300,000 nonprofit organizations with $42 billion in grants.1 The mission of Fidelity Charitable® is to grow the American tradition of philanthropy by providing programs that make charitable giving accessible, simple, and effective. Mr. Boland assumed his current role in 2020.
In his position, Mr. Boland serves as an expert on effective charitable giving for corporations and their executives who sponsor or participate in equity compensation programs. He does this by building and delivering training and education opportunities for the wealth planning community, equity compensation professionals, human resources including Total Rewards specialists and more. In this role, Mr. Boland works to help individuals leverage the benefits of Fidelity Charitable’s donor-advised fund program to strategically give more to the charities they support.
