Barbara Baksa CEP
Executive Director
NASPP
Barbara Baksa serves as Executive Director for the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, she overseas all NASPP member programs and services, including the NASPP Annual Conference, online educational programs, webcasts on current developments, website content, surveys and research, regional chapters, and industry involvement.
Barbara is a frequent speaker on equity compensation related topics and has recently spoken at events sponsored by the National Center for Employee Ownership, the American Payroll Association, and, of course, both the national NASPP organization and regional NASPP chapters. She has authored numerous articles on stock compensation, contributed chapters to four books on equity compensation, and co-authored the fifth edition of "Accounting for Equity Compensation," published in 2008 by the NCEO. Barbara also serves as editor of The NASPP Advisor and contributing editor to The Corporate Executive.
Barbara began her career in equity compensation fourteen years ago. She is a Certified Equity Professional and currently a member of the CEPI Advisory Board. Barbara has a BA in English from the University of Iowa.
Rachel Murillo CEP
Editorial Director
NASPP
Rachel is currently the Editorial Director at the NASPP. Her responsibilities include updating and creating new portals for the NASPP website, monitoring and participating in NASPP Discussion Forums, and creating the Compliance O'Meter monthly quiz.
Rachel has been administering stock plans since 2003. She was previously the senior Stock Plan Administrator at Amazon.com where she headed up the international taxation and administrative functions. She previously worked in the stock plans outsourcing group at E*TRADE FINANCIAL where she administered a wide variety of equity compensation plans for a number of diverse companies. Prior to E*TRADE, Rachel had administered stock plans for venture capital group in the Silicon Valley, managing the full capitalization in an Excel spreadsheet.
Rachel has developed many new processes in her stock plan career, understands database design and report customization and is an experienced Excel user. She also volunteers for the Certified Equity Professional Institute. Rachel graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.A. in Chinese Studies and became a Certified Equity Professional in 2005.
Robyn Shutak
Education Director
NASPP
Robyn recently joined the NASPP as the Education Director. Prior to joining the NASPP, Robyn was the Senior Manager, Equity Compensation for Entropic Communications, Inc. where she was responsible for managing all aspects of the company's equity programs. Robyn has also held various equity compensation related positions with several other publicly traded companies in the San Diego area such as Leap Wireless, Biosite Incorporated, Applied Micro Circuits Corporation and Jack in the Box Inc.
Ms. Shutak is a Certified Equity Professional (CEP). She holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature from San Diego State University and a Paralegal Certificate from the ABA Paralegal Program at the University of San Diego. She is a board member of the San Diego Chapter of the NASPP, a member of the curriculum committee of the CEP Institute and the Membership Director of the CEP Institute Society.
