U.S. tax reporting requirements continue to be challenging and confusing for our members, as evidenced by the flurry of questions posted in the NASPP Q&A Discussion Forum each year. This webcast will cover everything you need to know to comply with U.S. tax reporting requirements for all forms of equity compensation, including what goes on the Form W-2, when to use a Form 1099, Section 6039 reporting, and other important considerations.

Featured panelists:

  • Barbara Baksa, Executive Director, NASPP
  • Kathleen Cleary, Education Director, NASPP

Among other topics, this program will include:

  • Detailed instructions for reporting income from stock compensation on Form W-2;
  • Special reporting requirements for unusual situations, such as termination of employment, death and divorce;
  • Reporting stock compensation on Form 1099-MISC for non-employees;
  • Section 6039 reporting, including paper and electronic filing requirements.
