Nell Minow, Expert on Corporate Governance Reform and Executive Pay

Nell Minow, regarded as one of the 20 most influential people in corporate governance, and named one of the 30 most influential investors by Smart Money magazine, will serve as opening keynote speaker. Her distinguished career includes profiles in the New Yorker, The Economist, The New York Times, and the Washington Post. Business Week Online dubbed her the "queen of good corporate governance." She has lent her expertise in corporate governance to appearances before several Senate and Congressional hearings and on television.

She is current vice chair of ValueEdge Advisors. She is also the co-founder of GMI Ratings and The Corporate Library, and has previously served as principal of Lens Investment Management, president of Institutional Shareholder Services, and MBA faculty at George Mason University. She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and the University of Chicago Law School.

The official overflow hotel is the Churchill Hotel, conveniently located directly across the street from the Washington Hilton. Should either the Washington Hilton or Churchill Hotel sell out, feel free to book accommodations at any of the several other hotels in the nearby area (please note that there is no special NASPP rate arranged with other hotels). Hotels in the area include the Dupont Circle Hotel, Fairfax at Embassy Row, and the Kimpton Carlyle.
